Sedona by Lynx
Built-in and on a cart; U burners, ceramic briquettes
We have done 1,900+ jobs on Lynx grills since 2015, from Sedona by Lynx to Lynx Professional grills with ProSear or Trident infrared burners. We come to you anywhere in San Diego County and from Temecula up to Hemet, find the fault, and give you the price before anything gets fixed.

Older Lynx grills with cast burners and ceramic briquettes too. Most of the Lynx grills in our job photos are 36 or 42 inch.
Usually the electrode, the spark module or the battery. Ignition is one of the two repairs we do most on Lynx grills. Electrodes bend or crack, the wire behind them frays or corrodes at the battery box, and the battery in the push-button starter runs flat. On a ProSear or Trident burner there is a separate electrode beside the infrared element, and we check that one too. Our technician tests the spark at every burner, then adjusts or replaces the electrode, the wire or the module, and fits a new battery.
A clogged or rusted burner. Grease and rust close the ports, so the flame burns low, lazy and yellow, or not at all, and older cast burners can rot right through. Burners are the repair we do most on Lynx grills. We drill out ports that can be cleared and replace burners that cannot, so each one burns blue and even along its whole length. Sedona U burners and Lynx Professional cast burners are both parts we fit.
Usually a cracked or burned-through infrared element, or its igniter. The ProSear and Trident burners run hotter than the main burners, and we see holes burned through them and ceramic that has cracked. The rear rotisserie burner fails the same way, or its electrode does. We check the element, its igniter and its gas supply, then replace what has failed. We have fitted new Trident burners and new ProSear electrodes on Lynx grills across the county.
The ceramic briquettes and their trays have worn out. Over the years briquettes crack and crumble, trays warp and burn through, and grease soaks in, so flare-ups get worse and heat gets uneven. We replace the briquettes and the trays, and clear the grease underneath that feeds the flare-ups.
A bulb, the wiring or the power supply. Hood lights and knob lights live outdoors, so lamp housings corrode and transformers fail; on Sedona carts the power supply and transformer sit inside the cart. We trace whether it is the bulb, the wire or the transformer, and replace the part that has gone.
A stiff knob is usually a valve that needs freeing up and lubricating, or replacing if it is past that. Low flame on every burner points to the regulator or the hose: we test the regulator under pressure and replace it if it has failed. On a grill that moved house, it can also be set up for the wrong gas, and we convert it.
Lynx puts the model and serial number on the rating plate, which is on the underside of the drip tray or on the heat shield behind the front control panel (Lynx product documentation). Pull the drip tray out and look underneath. The back page of your Lynx manual may have it too. Send us a photo of the plate and we will find the part your Lynx needs.
From the parts we fit most, at your home:
For older Lynx models we source parts from more than 100 vendors, and a photo of the rating plate is usually all we need.
Most of our Lynx jobs are cleanings. Our full cleaning takes your Lynx apart to its components, and every part comes out clean:
Lights, rotisserie and side burner are cleaned and checked on the same visit. If rodents have been in, sanitization is an add-on when you book.
We are authorized to service Lynx grills. Still under warranty? Contact us with your model and serial number and we will help you through the warranty process. Out of warranty, we fix it and give you the price first.
When one part has failed, a repair is often all a Lynx needs, even an old one. If the repair would cost close to a new grill of the same quality, we say so, and you get a price for each option. If you replace it with a grill from us and your island's cut-out does not match, our GrillFitter® custom laser-cut frame closes the gap.
Most of our Lynx jobs are in San Diego, Carlsbad, Encinitas and Rancho Santa Fe.
“They made our 22 year old Lynx look brand new! Unbelievable.”
“He did a very good job cleaning the inside of of my 42" Lynx BBQ, particular under the burners where it's difficult to get to with a regular cleaning.”
“This is my 3rd cleaning/service by SD BBQ in 3 years, and each one met/exceeded expectations.”

We are authorized to service Lynx grills, Lynx Professional and Sedona by Lynx, and we have done 1,900+ jobs on them since 2015. If your Lynx is under warranty, contact us with the model and serial number from the rating plate and we will help you through the warranty process. Out of warranty, you get the price before we start.

We see Lynx grills more than 20 years old, with the original cast burners and ceramic briquettes, as well as current Lynx Professional and Sedona grills. Burners, briquettes, igniters and valves for older models can usually still be found, and we source them from more than 100 vendors. Send a photo of the rating plate and we will price the repair before any work starts.
Yes.
Infrared burners run hotter than the main burners, so the element cracks or burns through in time. We replace the burner, and its electrode if that has gone too, then test it lit before we leave. Send a photo of the burner and the rating plate and we will confirm the part and the price.
Yes, built-in and on a cart.
Sedona is the Lynx grill we see most by name. The usual work is cleaning, then burners, briquettes, igniters and, on carts, the lights and their power supply. A photo of the rating plate helps us bring the right part the first time.
Usually, yes.
A Lynx set up for propane can often be converted to natural gas, or the reverse, with the right orifices and regulator for that model. We check the model on the rating plate first, then confirm the conversion and the price before we start. A grill on the wrong gas burns low, so it is worth checking after a move.
A full cleaning every one to two years keeps a Lynx close to new in looks and in how it cooks, and a light cleaning every six months in between keeps the grates and briquettes right.
Yes.
We work on Lynx Professional freestanding grills, such as the L27 and L30 on a cart, and Sedona carts, as well as built-ins. The parts and the cleaning are the same as for the built-in version, and we do the work where the grill stands.
Usually, yes.
We source parts from more than 100 vendors, including for Lynx models that are no longer made. If a part truly cannot be found, we say so, and you get a price for the options before any work starts.
It depends on the fault and the part.
Send a photo for a free estimate, or we find the fault at the grill; either way you get the price before any work starts. Cleaning is priced by grill width, and a repair found during a cleaning is priced before we do it.
