Built-in, the DCS size we see most
We have done 900+ jobs on DCS grills since 2015, 27 to 48 inch, from Series 9 and BH1 Professional grills to older BGB models. We come to you anywhere in San Diego County and from Temecula up to Hemet, find the fault, and give you the price before anything gets fixed.

The DCS grills in our job photos have cast burners over ceramic briquette rods in trays, with rotisseries and side burners on the larger ones.
Usually the igniter or the electrode. Ignition is the repair we do most on DCS grills. Depending on the model, a DCS lights with a rotary igniter at each knob or a glow plug igniter by the burner, and electrodes crust over in their collector boxes. Our technician tests each burner's igniter, then replaces the electrode, the rotary igniter, the glow plug or the wire that has failed.
Grease and heat have rusted the cast burners through. Burners are the second repair we do most on DCS grills, and older cast burners rust and split along their length. We replace burners that cannot be cleared, then check every burner lights blue and even.
The ceramic briquette rods and their trays have broken or worn out. DCS uses ceramic rods in trays over the burners; they crack, and grease soaks in. We fit new rod trays and clear the grease underneath.
Usually its igniter or valve. Side burners come up often on DCS grills. We test the igniter and the gas supply to the side burner, free up or replace the valve, and price the repair before we start.
A stiff knob is usually a seized valve, which we free up and lubricate or replace. Low flame on every burner points to the regulator or hose: we test the regulator under pressure, replace it if it has failed, and convert the grill if it is on the wrong gas.
On DCS Professional grills, the model, serial and part numbers are on the inside right side panel, behind the drip pan handle; the rating label is on the rear panel (DCS Professional grill user guide). Pull the drip pan out to see it. Send us a photo of it and we will find the part your DCS needs.
From the parts we fit most, at your home:
For older DCS grills, including BGB models, we source parts from more than 100 vendors; a photo of the label is usually all we need.
Most of our DCS jobs are cleanings. Our full cleaning takes your DCS apart to its components:
The side burner and rotisserie are cleaned and checked on the same visit.
When one part has failed, a repair is often all a DCS needs. If the repair would cost close to a new grill of the same quality, we say so, and you get a price for each option. If you replace it with a grill from us and your island's cut-out does not match, our GrillFitter® custom laser-cut frame closes the gap.
Repair or replace? Is fixing an old grill worth it?The GrillFitter
Yes.
We work on DCS grills of every age, including older BGB models and grills with cast burners that have rusted through. Burners, rod trays, igniters and valves for older models can usually still be found; we source them from more than 100 vendors and price the repair before any work starts.
On a DCS with a glow plug igniter, a glow means the igniter has power, so the fault is often the gas reaching the burner (a clogged burner or orifice, or a valve), or a glow plug too weak to light it.
We test each part in turn and fix what has failed, then light every burner before we leave.
Yes.
Broken or worn rods and trays are a common fault on DCS grills. We fit new rod trays, clear the grease under them, and check the burners on the same visit.
Often, yes, depending on the model.
We check the model on the label first, confirm the conversion and the price, then fit the parts and test every burner. A grill on the wrong gas burns low, so it is worth checking after a move.
A full cleaning every one to two years keeps a DCS close to new in looks and in how it cooks, and a light cleaning every six months in between keeps the grates and rod trays right.
Yes.
We clean and repair DCS grills on a cart as well as built-ins. The parts and the cleaning are the same as for the built-in version, and we do the work where the grill stands.
No, we do not sell DCS.
We clean and repair them, and if you would rather replace yours, we sell and install other built-in grills, with a free consultation at your home and free installation when you buy the grill from us.
Usually, yes.
On the larger DCS grills the rear rotisserie burner and its igniter wear like any burner, and the motor can fail too. We test the burner, its igniter and gas supply, and the motor, then price the repair before we start. The rotisserie is cleaned on every full cleaning.
It depends on the fault and the part.
Send a photo for a free estimate, or we find the fault at the grill; either way you get the price before any work starts. Cleaning is priced by grill width, and a repair found during a cleaning is priced before we do it.
