Viking Professional
Built-in, 30, 36, 41 and 53 inch
We have done 650+ jobs on Viking grills since 2015, Viking Professional built-ins from 30 to 53 inch, VGBQ and VQGI models, many of them large and many of them older. We come to you anywhere in San Diego County and from Temecula up to Hemet, find the fault, and give you the price before anything gets fixed.

Viking grills on a cart, side burners and dual side burners too, and their Tru-Sear and rear infrared burners.
Usually the spark module, its wiring or the electrode. Ignition is the repair we do most on Viking grills. Behind the control panel the spark module corrodes and its wires fray, and at the burner the electrode fouls with grease or corrodes. Our technician tests the spark at each burner, then replaces the module, the wires, the rotary igniter or the electrode that has failed.
The burner has clogged or rusted open. Burners are the second repair we do most on Viking grills. Grease crusts the ports, and under the heat plates we find burners rusted open along their port line. We clear what can be cleared and replace what cannot, then check every burner lights blue and even.
The heat plates have warped, cracked or burned through. On large Vikings we find plates missing, rusted and full of holes, so grease reaches the flame and cold spots appear. We replace the heat plates and clear the grease beneath them.
Usually a clogged mesh or a rusted housing. The Tru-Sear infrared burner's mesh clogs with grease, and we have found it packed with nest debris. The rear infrared burner's housing can rust through. We clean or replace the burner, check its igniter and gas supply, and light it before we leave.
Often the regulator. Regulators come up on Viking grills more than valves do, including the natural gas regulator inside Viking carts. We test the regulator under pressure, replace it if it has failed, and check the grill is set up for the gas you have.
Usually its igniter, valve or a clogged burner. Side burners come up often on Viking grills. We test the igniter and gas supply, clean the burner, and free up or replace the valve.
On current Viking outdoor grills, the rating plate, with the serial number, model number and gas type, is attached to the underside of the drip tray or on the heat shield behind the front panel (Viking 5 Series installation and use and care manual). On an older Viking Professional, check the same two places first. Can't find it? A photo of the grill and its control panel is usually enough for us to identify it.
From the parts we fit most, at your home:
For older Viking grills we source parts from more than 100 vendors; a photo of the rating plate is usually all we need.
Most of our Viking jobs are cleanings. Our full cleaning takes your Viking apart to its components:
Side burners and the rotisserie are cleaned and checked on the same visit. On a jumbo Viking, the cleaning takes longer: we plan the time when you book by grill size.
When one part has failed, a repair is often all a Viking needs. If the repair would cost close to a new grill of the same quality, we say so, and you get a price for each option. If you replace it with a grill from us and your island's cut-out does not match, our GrillFitter® custom laser-cut frame closes the gap.
Repair or replace? Is fixing an old grill worth it?The GrillFitter
Yes.
Many of the Vikings we see are older Professional built-ins, often large. Spark modules, burners, heat plates and regulators for them can usually still be found; we source them from more than 100 vendors and price the repair before any work starts.
Yes.
A corroded module or frayed wires behind the control panel are among the most common Viking faults we see. We replace the module and the wires, then test the spark at every burner, including the side burner.
Usually, yes.
A clogged mesh can often be cleaned; a damaged one is replaced. We check the igniter and gas supply to the burner as well, and light it before we leave.
Often, yes, depending on the model.
We check the model on the rating plate first, confirm the conversion and the price, then fit the parts and the right regulator and test every burner.
A full cleaning every one to two years keeps a Viking close to new in looks and in how it cooks, and a light cleaning every six months in between keeps the grates and heat plates right.
Yes.
We clean and repair Viking grills on a cart as well as built-ins, including the regulator inside the cart. The parts and the cleaning are the same as for the built-in version.
No, we do not sell Viking.
We clean and repair them, and if you would rather replace yours, we sell and install other built-in grills, with a free consultation at your home and free installation when you buy the grill from us.
Yes.
We clean and repair Viking Professional grills up to 53 inch, the largest we see. A jumbo grill takes longer to clean, so we plan the time by grill size when you book, and the price is set by the grill's width. Many large Vikings have side burners and a rotisserie too, which we do on the same visit.
It depends on the fault and the part.
Send a photo for a free estimate, or we find the fault at the grill; either way you get the price before any work starts. Cleaning is priced by grill width, and a repair found during a cleaning is priced before we do it.
